A Schengen visa lets you travel across the member states on one application, but you cannot choose freely where to apply. The rule is the country of your main destination, measured by nights spent, and where the stay is evenly split, the country of first entry. Applying at the wrong consulate is a straightforward rejection.

Assessment is heavily documentary and financially driven. Consulates look for sufficient means for the whole trip, insurance meeting the required medical cover, accommodation for every night, and a clear return.

The short stay visa permits a limited number of days within any rolling period across the whole area, not per country. Miscounting previous trips against that limit is a common problem for applicants who travel often.

Visa categories

Schengen visa categories we handle.

Type C short stay visa

Tourism, family visits and business travel across the Schengen area on a single application, subject to the rolling stay limit.

Business travel

Meetings, trade fairs and conferences, supported by an invitation from the host company and your employer or business documents.

Family and friends visit

Visiting relatives resident in the area, with a formal invitation or sponsorship declaration where the host country requires one.

Student and short course

Short study visits fall under the short stay visa. Longer courses require a national long stay visa from the specific country.

Apply at the right consulateYour application must go to the country where you will spend the most nights, or the country of first entry if the stay is evenly divided. Choosing a consulate because it seems faster is a common and avoidable rejection.

How it works

From first meeting to decision.

01

Free consultation

We assess your profile against this consulate's expectations and tell you honestly how it is likely to be received.

02

Document checklist

A written list built for your employment profile, not a generic handout.

03

File preparation

Every page checked, covering letter and itinerary drafted, weak points flagged before submission.

04

Forms and slot booking

Application completed, fees paid, appointment booked and monitored.

05

Biometrics and decision

Full briefing before you attend, then passport collection once the decision is out.

Before you apply

Why applications get refused.

Schengen decisions lean heavily on documentation. These are the gaps that cause refusals.

  • Weak evidence of ties to IndiaProperty, employment, family responsibilities and business interests all serve as reasons to return. A file that shows none of these invites doubt regardless of how well funded it is.
  • Funds that do not match the storyA balance that appeared days before submission, or one inconsistent with declared income, reads as arranged rather than real.
  • Inconsistency across documentsWhen the covering letter, itinerary, hotel bookings and leave letter disagree on dates or purpose, the whole file loses credibility.
  • Incomplete or expired supporting papersA bank statement that stops weeks early, or an insurance policy below the required cover, is enough on its own.
  • Photograph and form errorsAvoidable, but they cost an entire appointment slot and sometimes a fee.

Questions

Schengen visa questions.

The one where you will spend the most nights. If the trip is split evenly, apply to your country of first entry. We work this out from your itinerary before anything is filed.

Yes, a short stay visa is valid across the member states, subject to the permitted number of days within the rolling period. That limit applies to the whole area, not to each country separately.

Travel medical insurance valid across the area meeting the required minimum cover. Policies that fall short, or that exclude some member states, are refused at the counter.

You may travel within the area, but the itinerary you submitted should reflect the trip you intend. A visa obtained on an itinerary you never follow creates problems on later applications.

Applications open a set window before travel, and summer is the peak. Applying at the opening of the window leaves room to correct a document without losing the trip.
